When you study social sciences, you are studying people as individuals, communities and societies. You are investigating how people behave and how they interact with each other, and how the human systems are continually evolving and becoming more complicated all across the world.

In total, there are 15 major social science disciplines. We have categorised these into 3 exciting career pathways focusing on those who govern us both now and historically, studies of the world and geopolitics, and an in-depth look at the people who make up our societies.

Social science graduates are in demand and amongst some of the best paid. A career in this sector will never not be interesting and full of new discoveries!

Typical entry requirements:

3 A Levels

5 GCSEs at grade 4 or higher, including English Language and Maths 

Please note:

  • BTEC or vocational qualifications will not be accepted in place of GCSEs
  • International applicants must also have IELTS 6.0
