Our amazing facilities
In order to give our A Level students a dedicated learning space complete with the latest learning technologies, we have transformed an area of our City Campus which launched to students starting in September 2019. Students have access to:
- Interactive classrooms with the latest technology
- Common spaces
- Social spaces
As well as the facilities in The Sheffield College Sixth Form, students will also have access to facilities at our City Campus, including:
- Learning Resource Centre
- Student Central
- Refectory
- Sports hall and fitness suite
- The Silver Plate Restaurant
- Revive Hair & Beauty Salon
Central location with strong transport links
The Sheffield Sixth Form is based at The Sheffield College's City Campus in the heart of Sheffield City Centre. We recommend that you walk or cycle to college where possible, there is onsite bicycle parking available at the City Campus.
However, if you need to use public transport we are easily accessible and well serviced by bus, tram and train routes across Sheffield and the surrounding areas. We are just a short walk from Sheffield's:
- Train station - 5 minutes
- Bus station - 10 minutes
- City centre - 15 minutes
A wide variety of courses for you to choose from
The Sheffield Sixth Form offers 17 A Level subjects in biology, business studies, chemistry, criminology, English language, English literature, film studies, fine art, geography, history, law, mathematics, media studies, photography, physics, psychology and sociology. We've also recently introduced computer science, economics and politics!
Endless amount of support
We have a fantastic Student Support Team who are always on hand to help you with any questions, concerns or problems that you might face with us.
Our Student Support Team are based at Student Central at our City Campus and will help you with just about anything, including:
- Issues of a personal nature
- Travel to and from college
- Financial support
- In class support
- Support with exams
- Support with a learning or physical disability
